The campaign is implemented through a collaborative approach involving government institutions and the community. Its aim is to establish cleanliness as a shared responsibility of every individual and the community as a whole.

Public Participation

The campaign seeks to ensure the active participation of various sections of society, including students, youth, families, voluntary organisations, traders, Local Self-Government Institutions and the general public.

Flood-Affected States and Union Territories

In areas affected by floods or other natural disasters, special importance should be given to cleanliness and public health alongside relief and rehabilitation activities.

High standards of sanitation and hygiene must be maintained to prevent the spread of diseases.

Where circumstances permit, activities under SHS 2026 may also be conducted in such areas at a later stage.

Cleanliness — Everyone’s Participation
